Finn and Dylan 07

Our goal in breeding Finn with Dylan was to ensure the WoW factor was kept alive after retiring our boy Clifford last spring. This litter has surpassed our original remit and we are just bursting with pride and look forward to sharing their development. Their new families, some of whom have waited a year for the arrival are very excited and their joy is what makes breeding such a pleasure for us.

Two Weeks Old

The pups eyes are now open and they are very close to being able to walk-- also we are hearing the occasional woof! They are lovely and chunky and have now doubled their birth weight.

clip_image003_001

Week Three

The pups have gone from sleepy lumps to active beauties in just one week! They are now out of their whelping box and understand(most of the time) to use the newspaper for toileting. They had their first meal and wolfed it----just amazing to me that they go from nursing from mum to eating food without hesitation. They have had their first visitors and loved being loved.

clip_image004_001

They are getting just so cute I need to share more photos!

clip_image005_001

Four Weeks

What a difference a week makes! They are now very social beings who just love all the visitors and all the cuddles. Their teeth are now in and they have discovered the joy of chewing socks with the occasional nip to the toe! They are playing with each other---rolling about and chewing on each others ears. After every meal they feel like little butterballs and you wonder if perhaps they might burst. They just get cuter and more fun with each passing day.
It sure beats going to school!

clip_image006_001

It seems to taste better when you get inside the pan!

clip_image008_001

Pups exploring their new, larger water bowl while fascinated with the crackling fire. Wet papers due to a couple of attempts at standing in the bowl---honest!

clip_image011_001

Five Weeks

Not a huge change this week--just getting more curious and confident. Stairs are now of great interest---one or two can go down, but going back up will perhaps happen next week.
Best friends!

clip_image012_001

They all managed the first tiny step.

clip_image013_001

mmmmmm--not sure what to do next!

clip_image014_001

Six Weeks

The pups now are bursting with confidence, determination and curiosity. They are absolutely delightful and a real joy to share their fun in discovering their ever expanding world. Last week they were unsure of the stairs--this week they race up and down them at speed. They love being outdoors--even in the rain and generally are pretty close to perfect!

clip_image015_001

Seven Weeks

At seven weeks the pups are ready to leave us. We will miss them, but feel it is time for each one to have their very own family. We know we have done our job well in selecting the very finest families. Now we have the pleasure of watching them grow and proving once again that our delightful puppies evolve into delightful family companions.
This is our first pup to leave---Fitch. He will be sharing his life with Nel.Freya,Ben and Jason. They all look so happy---he is a lucky pup!

Brodie will be living in Scotland with Paula,Martyn and Ian. Daughter Orla was waiting at home. She has been hoping that Charlie, our poodle was going to be her new pet! Hopefully Brodie will win her heart.

clip_image018_001

This is Lulu. Her owners Karen and Tim contacted us almost a year ago and made several visits to ensure that Tim would have no reaction to our doodles. Lulu will be joining Harriet and twins William and George. She is quite dainty and feminine, but I am sure she will thrive in their busy household.

Lulu having time out with her best mate donkey. She and Donk started sharing nap time while with us.

clip_image021_001

Lulu is sounding like the perfect puppy. She even barks at the door to be let out which I think is very impressive

Lulu is lovely and getting so big. Her coat is casting, but I am hoping when her grown up coat arrives--it will stay put!

Karen kindly took on the challenge of redoing my favourite sign that had hung on the fireplace for many years and was all but unreadable----it is now better than new and is being shown off stunningly by Lulu.

What a lovely dog---a much better looking version of Finn.

Look who has arrived in Lulu's life. This is Gibbs--dad is Bear and mum is Indy and grandmum is Lulu's mum---keeping it all in the family!!

Elsa is the pup that I will be watching very closely to see just how her coat develops. Her owners JC and Kim feel the family is now complete. Elsa's new "sisters" are Hannah and Lauren--lucky Elsa.

clip_image022_001

This shows how relaxed Elsa was on her ride home!

Hannah and Lauren with Elsa----they are learning to be very loving pet owners.

Elsa with JC at about 12 weeks---she is beautiful. Very much the "Golden Labra" more than the Doodle. She looks very wise.

DSC00312

Here is Elsa at about four and a half months. She is really developing the Golden Retreiver coat--she is lovely

DSC00660

This is beautiful Elsa----she really is stunning. She obviously has the Golden Retriever gene dominating----fascinating to see the variety we had in this one litter. Each one is lovely.

This fellow is called Zero---he will be living with four children=puppy heaven! Here he is with Maddy,Will,Aaron,Stan and mum Ali.I wish that my own dogs had these children to share their days.

clip_image024_001

Zero having a little time out---funny how they always seem to find something soft to rest their head ----our big dogs manouver couch cushions to suit!

Introducing Daisy Doodle-- a very special little lass who is loved by Jan and joins an elite group of Caitlin pups now living in Scotland.

clip_image027_001

Miss Daisy at 20 weeks---beautiful.

Look who just had a haircut! Jan says she is much cooler and seemed to enjoy the whole process. She is being spayed at the end of May.

Daisy and Bear on a day out at the seaside. Daisy wasn't too sure about his rough ways at first, but soon got the hang of it and ended up dominating him---it was the female bark that had him worried!

DaisyatTurnberry19May08003

Christine visited our litter last year and has been very patient waiting for Walt to arrive. Daughter Niamh looks very proud to finally have her new companion.

clip_image028_002

If I didn't know better I would say this is our Bear, but it is Bear's step brother Walt--a very handsome guy.

This is Colditz, who will be living in N. Ireland soon.

clip_image029_001_000

Holly is the last of the pups to leave us and we will miss her. She and Colditz were quite a team and the house certainly seems far too quiet. Holly will be living in Scotland with Rob and Joanna and we know she will bring a whole new dimension to their days!

holly002

Holly looking very comfortable and very wise.

IMG_0901

Rob built this little ramp so Holly could go up and down to the garden without wear and tear on her joints---very clever. Looks like maybe she has other ideas!

IMG_0898

Holly at seven months. She has now been spayed and has certainly grown into a lovely dog---showing off her Golden Retriever genes. Her coat is still developing.

Colditz is our first pup to live in Northern Ireland. Gavin flew over to initially select his pup with a remit of finding a small male----fortunately his family never saw the size of the other pups!! Here he is with Louise and Gavin and children Josh and Amy. He is a pup with great presence and I think he is a perfect fit for the family.
