Oh joy--Oh bliss---a full weekend of doing exactly what doodles usually only dream of. No leads---a cool river--acres to run on and best of all---big,rugged brothers to crash around with. They all swam, chased sticks(logs),stole brownies, barked and barked to their hearts content. The owner's loved watching the happiness of the dogs and spent the weekend catching up with happenings since last years reunion and laughing at Amy and Lucy's wonderful story telling.
We all took hundreds of photos and hopefully the ones chosen here will give you a flavour of our very special weekend (July 2011).
Arrival at the Fat Lamb in Ravenstonedale---a lovely Inn that welcomed all the dogs.
This is Kip from Finn and Bear 2010. He and his family shared Saturday with us. Kip will be remembered for his very quick response to the the brownies!
Come on --hurry up-- we're almost there........
Ear flapping helps with the speed!
Yea---happiness is ......
Cruising down the river on a sunny afternoon!
A stick has been thrown and they're off.
Success, but keeping it from the others is the real challenge.
Possesion of this stick changed over and over again. Watching the doodle mind at work was great entertainment.
Tullah and her mum
Olivia was the youngest in our group and a real dog lover. I am just sorry my own dogs don't have a little girl all of their own. Yogi's love of Olivia was just as great as hers for him.
David and Matt setting the world to rights. Tom and Ruby(Kips's family) with Andy looking on.
Kip's boys---Tom and Jack.
Just a short change of pace and all went for a walk in Kirkby Stephen on the viaduct walk. I was stopped twice this week and asked about the gorgeous dogs that were seen on the walk. They are a stunning site.
Eileen(Amy's mum),Amy and Cooper,Katrina and Yogi,Chris and Olivia and Riagh,Harry,Matt,Archie,Lucy,Jack Bear,Tess and rear end of Nina.
Olivia with her devoted companion Yogi
Oh come on Amy--you can see we are starving! Eileen--Amy--Lucy

Chris and honarary doodle Riagh,Eileen and Katrina
Too bad you can't feel the warmth of the sun that blessed us all weekend.
Mother Tullah with look alike daughter Tess and daughter Nina.
Olivia and Yogi--cute photo, but included more to show the absolutely, gorgeous sky.
Bear and Andy
Harry and Jack with their dog Tess.
Bear looking every bit the master of his territory. One tiny growl from dad and his boys took notice!
After an afternoon at the river we took the gang to the Black Bull pub in Nateby. If you are ever in this area this is the place to visit with your dogs. The owner's made us feel very welcome and all the dogs behaved impeccably---plus the food was delicious!
Lucy with little Tess. Tess is devoted to Archie and has masses of energy, but also loves to be cuddled by Lucy---a real sweetheart.
I think this is Archie imitating a frog.
Little ladies must dress for dinner! Tess with her fancy collar.
Not to be outdone--Archie proud to be Welsh!
Amy and her mum came to the reunion from Ireland. We will all be eagerly awaiting next years gathering to hear her tales of working with REAL patients---no more mannequins! This photo really shows what fun and humour she brought to our group.
Cooper with perfect pub manners.
Little Nina was exhausted from the days exertion and slept the whole evening in Andy's lap.
On Sunday we went to Tan Hill (the highest pub in Great Britain). Another absolutely perfect day---blue sky like this is not the norm for Cumbria! Once again the dogs were perfectly behaved while we had lunch and were greatly admired.

Free at Last! Geese and chickens were most indignant that they had to remain in their barn all weekend!
Thank you to all for making this such a fun and successful second reunion. I hope that when we meet next year we can have even more of the family together. Girls will add a new dimension!!
