HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL OF THESE WONDERFUL PUPS----EVERYONE HAS SURVIVED THE FIRST YEAR AND COME OUT THE OTHER SIDE WITH STUNNING---FULL OF LIFE---COMPANIONS----IT ONLY GETS BETTER!! JAN 29, 2009
Cathrine said it is tradition in Sweden to have cake in bed for your birthday--seems to suit Nanna and her best friends
Nanna on her second birthday. Openning gifts is challenging. January 2010.
This is Marley at one year
Marley on his second birthday 2010.
A lovely history of Molly's first year.
Happy second birthday from Molly and her very clever master Ian.
Molly's birthday greeting to all her siblings--3 yrs old---Once again master Ian shows off his cleverness---it looks great.
Lola looking like a baby polar bear.
Happy second birthday from Lola
Lola,Tony and Fingal ---celebrating their third birthday with ball play--bliss. Love the fashionable jackets--very smart!
Kobi at almost a year
Angus displaying the same presence he showed as a little pup.
Monty was not feeling his best for his special day--he had a sore paw which we hope is now much better.
Puff had her puppies on January 29th. She surprised us by having nine within a normal time frame and then four hours later a little lad arrived---hale and hearty---just in no rush! It is a beautiful litter--all very uniform and all with curly coats
This little lass will probably be called Deanna or Lola----Sheila and Tony were inspired to think of French sounding names to make note of her heritage
Tony with Lola at four weeks and Sheila with Bear who was eight weeks.
Introducing Angus-----our biggest lad with a physique to match his name. I knew at birth where he would be going and am sure that Marion and Mick are totally smitten . It is hard to see,but Angus has his front paws crossed which is something Puff does and many of her offspring do.
Marion and Mick with Angus with Finn enjoying a cuddle.
Sarah and her family have been waiting for a year to have a pup as handsome as their neighbour's dog Odie---born to Puff last year. Little Monty has now been chosen and I have no doubt that he will be all they have hoped for.
Rhys would have been just as happy to leave with a stuffed animal!
Rhys with Mr Donkey--Sarah with Monty and Daniel--all looking very pleased
Stuffed puppy casserole!!
Cathrine and Ulrich live in Denmark and flew over to select their pup. The children Alma and Alvin do not speak English, but choosing a puppy is really a matter for the heart and I think these photos say it better than words.
Who said dog breeding was hard work?? Ian and Susan,Alvin and Alma,Ulrich and Catherine and Andy and I had a lovely pub meal ---three guesses what the main topic of conversation was??
Introducing Fingal--a fine Scottish lad. He is named after Fingal's cave on the island of Staffa. He is being held by Lally with Jeannie and Alan watching with pride.
John and Eileen with lovely Piper. She will be joining Charlie---a Dalmation/Old English Sheepdog cross.
This is Robert and Cath with their lad Kobi. Bear thought he would get into the photo to show folk what little Kobi will look like at seven+ weeks--perhaps not quite as curly, but a similar size.
This is Jan with her little lass Maizi. Maizi will be joining the family's Border Collie. His days of peace are seriously limited!
Until recently,Sue was frightened of dogs, but after our three greeted her in their usual exuberant way and she survived----her fears diminished and she is now counting the seconds until Molly will be joining the family.
Here they are at five weeks---just thinking about coming down the three steps!
This is our Angus who is a Golden Labra with little Doodle. In our last two litters of ten pups there have been at least two in each that do not have curls, but in each case--they have been exceptionally handsome with a real attitude--everyone who visits loves this lad.
The first pup to leave us is Monty. Sarah and family have been waiting a year for this day.
Monty loved the story, but just couldn't keep his eyes open a minute longer!
Monty having a rest with his friend Odie who was born in 07 to Puff----hard to believe so much growth will occur in one year!
Little Miss Molly received two welcome home cards before she even left us!---She will be a very loved little pup and bring a whole new dimension to Sue and Ian's days.
Even wet and muddy---Molly is lovely!
Molly and our Bear had their first play date today and had a wonderful time. Bear taught her how to play rough and she showed him the art of empying your waterbowl with your paws---a deep friendship is in the making. They will be going to puppy school together next week----watch this space!
Both pups loved Susan's treats of apple and carrot.
Bear and Molly after a wonderful walk where every puddle was sampled!
Molly is now a very keen water dog and is clipped to ensure quick drying. She looks exactly like mum Puff. I am sure there could not be a dog more loved!!
Maizi with Jan and John---Their Border Collie was enjoying one last afternoon sleep before Miss Trouble arrived
A real action shot of Maizi!
Maizie at 11 weeks---perfect.
Jan was courageous and gave Maizie her first haircut---It looks like she is hoping that Flash might think she is pretty enough to have a play!
Eileen and John with Piper. Pipper is the first pup to leave with a" proper" collar and lead---looking very smart and grown up.
Piper with her good friend Paddington.
There is nothing quite so comforting as having a best friend to snuggle up to---just a little more space please Charley.
This is Piper at seven months--she looks very much like Gramma Finn.
Having inadvertently deleted my photos of Fingal's leaving---his family were able to find an obliging tourist to take their photo on the Drumochter Pass enroute to Inverness. The result is far more interesting than my front cobbles!
This is Fingal's room with a view!
Fingal displaying the all time favourite Doodle position!
Alan and Fingal having a bit of "guy" time!
Farewell to Angus. He has been a real favourite with visitors and the children in the neighbourhood. He stood out with his straight(ish) coat and his"I'm an important puppy" attitude. Here he is with Marion and Mick who will be giving him all the love he could possibly want---plus a bit more!
Just look at the lovely waves! He is changing so quickly--can't wait to see the finished work!
Angus's private space---even as a little pup he would sleep with his head on my computer chair and I would struggle to move without disturbing him
Wonderful to see Angus all grown up.
Sheila just retired this week ---no chance of wondering how to fill her days! The grins say it all!
Lola enjoying her garden as only a puppy can do!
Lola at four months----gorgeous.
I love this one of Lola and Tony---not sure who is happiest!
Lola is one very beautiful and content doodle.
This is Cath and Robert with Kobi. They live near to a hydro-pool for animals as well as being able to attend puppy parties and puppy play groups---I sure wish our rural part of the world had such things---Kobi will be very well socialized
Kobi exhibiting the Ahhhhh look. The hair that is beginning to grow by his eyes is best left to grow. I keep combing Bear's down to keep it out of his eyes---there is a period where it is tempting to trim, but if possible---let it grow to form the cheek whiskers.
Kobi has a new special friend ---he has learned to touch it with his nose/paw and make it spin and then a treat comes out----clever toy and clever Kobi!
Kobi trying out his smile
I am always asked if it doesn't break my heart to see the pups go? It is more like it fills me with joy to see the happiness that each pup brings to their new family. This is John with Marly----my cup runneth over!
John and Sandra with Marly---another lucky pup going to live by the sea in Scotland.
Finn and Puff looking on as Marly,Sandra and John pose for one last photo
Marly with a bouy---what else would a fisherman's pup play with?
John and Marley out to catch some lobsters and crabs---so far no success!
Last to leave us is sweet Nanna. Bear's dear partner in crime and our little darling. She really has the makings of being the perfect puppy---watch this space! Cathrine felt like she was in a dream when first cuddling her.
Nanna slept in Cathrine's arms the whole journey from Cumbria to the airport--she quickly did all her business on arrival and calmly remained in our arms throughout the check in process.
Nanna was by far the most unique one in the queue!
Catherine flew with Cimber Airlines to Copenhagen. Nanna had her own little soft carrying bag and she could stay with Cathrine in the cabin.
Good-bye Nanna and Cathrine----There is a sadness to see the last pup go----we have loved everyone of them and really enjoyed our time with their new owners---we will now sit back and watch how each one develops knowing they are all with very special families who will carry on the love and care that we started.
Nanna is continuing to be the perfect pup with only the occasional fall from grace. She really is beautiful.
Nanna one week later ---not long before she will have proper doodle whiskers!
Nanna with her very best friends Alvin and Alma--she almost looks like a toy!
Clever Cathrine made this ramp to save Nanna's puppy joints--well done. Looks like it works a treat.
Nanna at fifteen weeks.
Nanna looking very, very sorry for herself
Nanna at five months. Looks like a proper Disney dog.
Nanna at nine months---she has the same face as Bear with looser curls.
She really is gorgeous
Nanna and Alvin--wonderful photo of two cuties!
Nanna had a beautiful litter in the spring of 2010----possibly the best looking pups I have ever seen. I am hoping she will continue to breed ---making handsome, healthy dogs available in Europe----with no spay and neutering contract!!
